  1. David,
EVERYONE knows that the real test of a man's mettle is 1,000 caches found! You are ten percent there! Good morning, and in case I don't see you, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!
I was thinking, you, I, my #1 and some of yours should go out some day, take a picnic lunch and looke for those elusive caches. Few bugs, comfortable temps, blue skys, maybe a cigar . . . sound good?

  2. I think that last comment should have been " . . I was thinking, you, ME, my #1 . . . "
    (The grammar police are everywhere)
BTW, Dave has nearly a 100 more cahes logged than I do. Obviously, we know who has more free time!

  3. Very Cool! Congratulations!

  4. Okay, so I told you that I'd report back, even though I'm shamefully embarrassed to do so.

The family went out geocaching for the first time yesterday and came home empty handed, finding 0 of 3 caches that we set out for. :-( We were seaching for 2 small and 1 medium

I'm using my iPhone and have read that it may not be accurate enough, so that helped ease the pain a bit.

Any suggestions on a good, cheap dedicated GPS?

  5. I DID IT!!!! We went back and actually found our first cache, actually we're up to 3 now. Oh man, the thrill of spotting that first cache, a moment I won't soon forget. Thanks for introducing me.

  6. WOO HOO!!! The kiddos and I found 2 by accident while hiking last summer . . . GPSs for them for Christmas and we're off to find some cache's next summer! Any suggestions on a good GPS that the 9 and 7 year old can use with a little adult help?
