Understated Realizations #4

I always thought once the kiddos were grown, it would be the "our time" in our lives, but now that it's here, we continue to want to be there for our family.

When asked to help with the grandkids the answer is always "yes, of course" as opposed to "We'll have to check my calendar", or "I suppose we can try to rearrange", or "well, if there is no one else".   It's "yes, of course.". We don't want to prioritize holidays, socializing, or hobbies over being there when we are needed.

We DO have our own lives and take care of our needs, but being there for our grandchildren will always come first.  ❤️
