A Small But Nostalgic Project

As a "nostalgic" sort of fella, I look back at my first job with great fondness.

I spent almost nine years as an employee of a small, local family-owned hardware store. I look back at those years with great fondness. I made some great friends, and had some great times, and made some great memories in that hardware store! So, yes... From time to time (when I get particularly nostalgic), I scour the world-wide-webs for tchotchkes, trinkets, or bauble from the now extinct "Coast to Coast" hardware chain.

Recently,
I scored this little gem on eBay!

(It's a large brass buckle featuring the  "Coast to Coast Total Hardware" logo )

When I first saw it, I envisioned making a small shadow box, or frame for it, and (proudly) displaying it in my garage to commemorate the almost 9 years as a Coast-to-Coast employee, reminding me of all the great friends and all the great memories I have from those wonderful years!
